These cinnamon sticks are huge and incredibly fragrant. I’m tying them in bundles with red grosgrain ribbon. The house smells softly wonderful: subtle cinnamon.It’s pungent, I make ginger tea with cinnamon and cloves and fresh mint. It adds flavor.I love these cinnamon sticks. I use them in tea and they have such a nice flavor, and I can use the sticks to stir other tea ingredients in hot water, and reuse sticks many times. Also, for deterring bugs in my garden I make a noxious tea with cloves, eucalyptus, sage, mint, oregano, rosemary, and cinnamon. Since this is a hot water based brew, ground cinnamon would get gunky like jello so the stick form of cinnamon works great, with no jello effect, and again, I use the cinnamon stick to stir my brew. I also do an alcohol extraction of all the aforementioned herbs, and for that I grind everything, including the cinnamon, and with the alcohol extraction the ground cinnamon does not turn to gel like it does with water extraction. Then after sitting a while, I strain everything through a filter, and the end result is great for spraying on my plants for organic gardening. Maybe too much information here, but the only thing I'll add to my lengthy details is that in general I reuse one cinnamon stick many times in hot tea, so it's economical and the cinnamon pack lasts me a long time. I've noticed recently the Frontier products are going up a little bit in price, but no big deal. They are an ethical company that I'm happy to support with my business. Five stars for their products.We expected broken stick and some mold, but these were in excellent shape - not one broken and the smell is amazing. Pricing is very good. Get this one - you pay no extra for the length, (look at weight price and compare).I use cinnamon as a natural ant repellent. I line these sticks along the baseboards in my bathroom and they are very effective. They provide a natural, non toxic alternative.I purchased these to use for my fabric Christmas tree craft project. They were the perfect length. Good thing there were a lot in the bag. Every one has a slightly different shape (some are wider/thinner/some had imperfections) which is understandable. (Some of them I could not use.some of them for my project.) To be honest they didn't have a strong cinnamon scent-but then maybe they're not supposed to. They worked out good for my project.I bought these for a craft project. Perfect. Good color, strong fresh fragrance. Thank you!!!these cinammon sticks have a really strong smell & very thick. they arent really like the kind you buy at a grocery store, theyre more like something youd use for potpourri or to make a room smell like cinammon. i bought them to make cinammon tea with them but for me the strong is very over powering & the taste is very strong even if i just use 1 stick. im going to try to use halg of a stick next time and see if that works better for me. i give 5 stars because it is what it states & it is a good product, i just dont like the taste because im not used to such strong cinammon.
